JOB SUMMARY:
Consistently deliver excellent customer service in the dispensary by educating customers and patients, accurately tendering transactions, and maintaining compliance with all state and local regulations. The Retail Manager with the assistance of the shift lead is responsible for the overall dispensary activities and the budtender team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support practices, policies, and strategies that support a continuous improvement culture.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all transactions.
- Record all sales and inventory transactions in accordance with state and local laws and regulations.
- Model the company Core Values at all times when representing the company.
- Communicates the details of daily operations to key stakeholders.
- Oversee procedures related to opening, operations, and closing of the retail store.
- Participate in recruiting, training, continuous development, and success of employees.
- Participate in team building, leadership, and corporate development activities; support corporate initiatives and implement procedures and protocols provided by management.
- Stay informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, regulations, and industry news.
- Monitoring team performance and ensuring duties are performed efficiently.
- Interface with regulators and law enforcement as required.
- Oversee all aspects of the sales floor to maintain a clean, safe, inviting, professional environment.
- Perform inventory reconciliation as required and conduct end-of-month inventory reconciliations.
- Report all adverse events; participate in or lead deviation investigations.
- Manage all store operations and delegate responsibilities.
- Address customer complaints and feedback in a professional manner.
- Conduct discipline, coaching, and termination of employees.
- Protect against loss by monitoring security, training staff, and maintaining security cameras.
- Manage appropriate levels of stock and purchases.
- Accountability and management of cash handling procedures.
- Count cash safe at the start and end of shift to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare weekly deposits for delivery.
- Monitor discounts to ensure accuracy.
- Report cash shortages or inventory shortages to the General Retail Manager.
- Ensure all invoices are submitted to accounting in a timely manner.
- Ensure Daily Sheets are sent to accounting routinely.
- Store scheduling and staffing.
- Responsible for employee's timekeeping ensures missed time punch reports and time-off requests are submitted to Human Resources by payroll deadline.
- Assists employees with enrollment of benefits and returning benefit packets to Human Resources in a timely manner.
- Responsible for facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary including proper upkeep (ex. Monthly deep cleaning, landscaping, etc.).
- Ensure you are practicing first in -first out inventory.
- Additional duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience:
- One year of progressively responsible retail experience.
- Experience in the cannabis industry preferred.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Understanding of inventory management practices.
- Expert level knowledge of strains, effects of cannabis and cannabis-infused products.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Dutchie, Greenbits or current electronic POS and generally computer literate.
- Strong problem solving, communication and organization skills; anticipatory thinking and ability to forecast; calculating, multitasking, attention to detail, conflict resolution, teamwork, and professionalism, accountability, and proactive behavior.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of a fluid schedule and changing priority.
