Network Vulnerability Analyst - Senior

Overview

Intrepid Solutions has an opportunity for a Senior Network Vulnerability Analyst for a new contract. 

Our client is a geographically distributed, complex system of communication networks and networked software and service capabilities. This position will be sited at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.  

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments of systems and networks to determine the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities based on DoD and IC policies, and industry best practices.
• Review and evaluate vulnerability scans, reports, or other IT/IS artifacts to identify systemic security issues and areas of weakness within a given DoD enclave, system, or enterprise. Works with stakeholders and system security engineers to effectively communicate the risks of identified vulnerabilities.
• Assist with remediation solutions of identified security vulnerabilities based on DoD, IC, and Federal policies, standards, and industry best practices.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

• This position supports a 24/7 NOC environment. Evening and weekend work may be required.

TRAVEL:

• Limited or minimal travel expected.

Qualifications

CLEARANCE: Active or Interim Secret clearance required.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 4 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree, and 2 years of experience may be substituted for an Associate's degree.

CERTIFICATION(S):

• DOD IAT Level II

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 8 years of experience as a Vulnerability Assessment Analyst on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
