Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist in the collection and processing of specimens for laboratory testing.
- Provide health coaching to patients and their families regarding disease management and prevention.
- Implement aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
- Support patients with infectious disease care, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Lift and assist patients as needed for mobility and comfort.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in hospital settings or home care preferred.
- Knowledge of specimen collection processing and handling.
- Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and support.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as ER settings.
