Roles & Responsibilities:
Qualifications• Drive portfolio and commercial efforts that will expand Intuitive’s business boundaries to create future value. Key intellectual partner / resource to explore and debate concepts and themes. Ability to effectively represent the Strategy organization to internal and external stakeholders.• Create work plans and project manage key strategic initiatives including Digital products, AI/ML roadmap, Futures Forward vision, EMR integration, etc…• Identify, gather and analyze external research for consideration by the Strategy team. Partner with with thought-leading/comparable companies Intuitive can engage with and gain insights from. Based on output collaborate with VP Strategy on course of action.• Project manage Future Forward organization initiatives. General activities include keeping teams on track, identify required resources, support team meetings, minutes, etc…• Build relationships and collaborate with key business functions (i.e. Business Development, Research, Ventures, etc…). Become a trusted and valued business partner focused on portfolio strategy and promoting the vision of the Strategy team.• Model and champion Intuitive Surgical’s culture and value set in your actions language and results. Focus on the “vital few” that allows for exceeding customer’s expectation.
Skill, Experience, Education & Training:
• Eight years of experience in mid-level positions in the medical device/healthcare industry; successful in a high-growth research environment.• Bachelors degree in a relevent field (i.e., finance, economics, business development or a technical field) required; masters degree preferred.• Background in consulting, equity research or investment banking useful, but can also have worked in industry with crossfunctional responsibility. Solid financial and fundamental analysis capability of healthcare (medical technology) companies preferred.• Working knowledge of clinical medicine, primarily surgical care. Ability to interpret clinical evidence.• Broad understanding of hospital operations, economics, reimbursement and healthcare trends.• Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders. Entrepreneurial spirit that leads and motivates people to action. Drive organizational focus on priorities, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment.• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.• Sound project management skills, attention to detail and follow through.• Intellectual curiosity and strong learning ability.• Ability to travel up to 20% travel
