Job Description
Position Overview
As the Manager, HR Operations, you will lead the development and administration of the policies, procedures, employee lifecycle programs (from onboarding to offboarding) and employer compliance with state and federal rules, regulations, and laws, that support Invenergy's Services employees.
Responsibilities
Support our Services employees that are based at or support our energy centers.
Manage the day-to-day activities of a Generalist team including providing coaching, development and performance management to direct reports.
Manage employee lifecycle programs and processes from onboarding to offboarding.
Plan, implement, and evaluate employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices, in alignment with local, state and federal law as well as global company directives.
Leverage HR data to inform and influence key decisions, process improvements, and policy changes.
Acts as the primary interface with different levels of management on most HR issues within respective functional areas.
Advise and train leaders in employee relations best practices and strategies for managing employee relation issues and recommend training as needed.
Provide strategic counsel and advisement to managers to support goal-setting and performance review practices and provide strategies for performance ratings and effective employee coaching.
Manage the internal investigation process through our ethics hotline ensuring full compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Stay abreast of federal and state HR legislation and trends to ensure best practices and compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws. Lead necessary changes to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or a related field
5 years of progressive human resources experience in a corporate environment
2 years people management experience
PHR or SPHR certification
Advanced knowledge of human resource legislation and Federal, State, and Local employment laws
Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead a high-performance team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels in a constructive, balanced and professional manner
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters
Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities/projects and to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines and providing high quality work
Workday experience is a plus
