Job Designation
We're seeking a talented 3D Artist to join our team for a 6-month contract (1099). The contract may be extended depending on project needs. Candidates must be able to work remotely and have their own equipment. We will provide the necessary software.
The Creative Content team creates 3D assets for our virtual weapons systems to provide interactive, realistic training simulations for law enforcement and military personnel.
This position will involve all aspects of 3D content creation. The primary focus will be on creating and editing targets, assets, and environments for Unreal Engine. This may include vehicles, weapons, props, and characters (using Character Creator), as well as working in Unity and CryEngine. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow technical instructions. They should also be comfortable working independently and with military and law enforcement-related content.

Education
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or greater preferred.
While a degree in a relevant field can be beneficial, applicable experience, demonstrated skills, and an approved portfolio will be given greater weight in the qualification process.

Travel is not expected during the initial contract. However, changes to current projects, contract extensions, or future projects may require occasional travel.

- 3D modeling, UV layout, texturing, rigging, animating, lighting, rendering, image editing
- Creating environments, structures, vehicles, vegetation, characters, targets, props, weapons
- Using PBR texturing and baking methods for Unreal, Unity, CryEngine
- Working with high/low-resolution assets, pipelines, and methods for real-time assets
- Exporting and importing assets for Unreal, Unity, CryEngine
- Converting pre-existing assets for use in alternative engines
- Setting up assets in various engines, including materials, collisions, blueprints
- Troubleshooting technical issues and problem-solving
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter, Illustrator, Character Creator, Perforce, Unity, Unreal, CryEngine)
- Ability to quickly learn new skills, pipelines, methods, and software solutions
- Asset management and organization
- Working independently or cooperatively
- Prioritizing duties, meeting deadlines, and providing accurate time estimates
- Following system constraints, project guidelines, and our Agile process
- Sharing skills, knowledge, and experience with coworkers
- Taking direction and matching current quality and style of content
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience creating assets optimized for real-time applications
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard software (Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter, Illustrator, Character Creator, Perforce, Unity, Unreal, CryEngine)
