General Summary

Ion Channel, a software security automation platform, is seeking a motivated, self-driven Product Designer who can bridge data with design, seeks to optimize the Ion Channel customer experience, and can work closely with developers and business stakeholders to ensure design success.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to new product development from the idea stage through development
  • Design data-heavy, user-friendly interfaces
  • Consume customer feedback to inform design decisions
  • Strong sense for shared product vision that translates to design work
  • Collaborate with development peers and customer/business stakeholders to ensure design success and overall quality
  • Understands current data-driven analysis frameworks

Knowledge and skills

  • Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills and a strong drive to learn
  • Ability to come up to speed on our core technologies quickly
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and listen and learn from stakeholders
  • Ability to balance quality and productivity
  • Experience with UI/UX design/prototyping tools (e.g. InVision, Adobe XD, Figma, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of front-end languages and platforms (e.g. js, HTML, React, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Portland, OR 97202: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • UX: 3 years (Required)
  • UI design: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Software Development: 1 year (Preferred)
