Your impact:
As the Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing Amity technology testing. You’ll be required to estimate, plan and execute work assignments accurately. As a subject matter expert, you will influence standards and best practices, lead challenging Automation projects, and contribute to the team and its overall strategic direction.

Your team:
Automation Engineers are part of the Amity Quality department. You will work closely with the automation lead and scrum teams, following Agile methodology in managing work. All of us actively participate in the pre & post-sprint meetings, such as planning and retrospectives.

Products automated include: Cloud-based social media SDKs, community networks, and messaging services
The Tech Stack: Appium, Selenium, Swift (XCTest), Kotlin, Js. There is room for expansion; the world is your oyster
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automation frameworks across technologies (Android, iOS, Web, RestAPI, WebSocket)
- Communicate effectively in review discussions for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ensure the automation developed is highly efficient, reliable and scales with best practices, eg. Asynchronous test operations
- Analyze, identify trends and debug defects and provide team direction to prioritize and resolve them
- Participate in code reviews
- Mentor and develop technical competency of team members
- Self-directed ownership and support of automation framework maintenance
- Rightsize and implement new automation technology investments and test approaches
- Define and maintain a sprint roadmap for test automation in consultation with the team
- Provide direction and ensure proper alignment of team automation tasks to ensure tasks are delivered on schedule
- Proactively participate in the Software Development Life Cycle as the Automation Engineer
Your Ideal Profile:
- 2 - 5 years of work experience in test automation or development
- Proficiency in Java or at least two other programming languages
- Experience in writing automated test cases in any framework. Eg. Appium, XCTest framework for iOS, Selenium WebDriver with Java via Maven, JUnit tests, or in-house Flutter stacks, etc.
- Technical repertoire for test automation. Eg. Writing tests, API testing with Postman/SoapUI, Appium, Robot Framework, Selenium WebDriver, etc.
- Solid understanding of test automation principles and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or other related or similar field) or comparable experience
- Experience in regression testing is a plus
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum is a plus
