Position Title: Research Scientist I Job Group: Professional & Scientific Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Preferred Qualifications: BS in Biology, Microbiology, or a related field Lab coursework or work experience with sterile techniques and dilution plating 1 year of experience working as a lab technician in a microbiology lab Job Description: Summary This position is responsible for assisting with research in therapeutic ultrasound applications directed at the treatment of bacteria biofilms. The focus of the work will be on growing and maintaining the bacteria biofilms used in the research as well as assessing the number of colony forming units following the experiments. Additionally, this position is responsible for general lab upkeep and safety.
