Responsibilities :
- Work under the direction of qualified painter / coater
- Provide labor support to painter / coater
- Independently mix paint
- Knowledgeable in equipment operations
- Assist in cleaning work areas and equipment
- Work to gain full understanding of interior and exterior application procedures
- Promote and exhibit safe work practices
Requirements :
- Minimum 6 months of field experience in support of industrial painting crew
- Ability to communicate to supervisor and coworkers effectively and comprehend tasks assigned
- Must successfully pass background
- Must successfully pass pre-employment urinalysis and hair follicle drug screening
- Ability to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 49lbs
- Ability to work at heights in excess of 50feet
- Ability to push, pull, turn, hold, grab : objects, materials, controls, and tools
- Ability to climb ladders and stairways, work from man lifts
- Ability to work out on an open structure / platform using the appropriate fall protection requirements
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glass / goggles, ear plugs / muffs, masks / respirators, safety vests, gloves, and leather steel toe work boots
