Job Description:
- Perform blocking, grinding, beveling, and polishing of various crystal and optical materials.
- Operate and maintain grinding and measurement equipment.
- Daily interaction with peers to provide completion dates for all jobs.
- Maintain traceability of all data for process control.
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a high volume atmosphere of crystals/optics manufacturing.
- Knowledge should include the use of measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, interferometers, and auto-collimators.
- Must be able to read and review blueprints.
- Must be able to hold and inspect small parts using a microscope.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, and organize and prioritize workload.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
- In absence of crystal/ optics manufacturing skills, good hand/eye coordination, and a desire to learn.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees. License exception Technology and software under restriction (TSR) defined in 15 CFR 740.6 may permit persons from Country Group B.
