Job Posting for Technician - Field Service at IPG Photonics
Provide Preventive and Breakdown maintenance to customers.
Troubleshoot and repair Laser based handheld welder
Understand, identify, locate malfunctions, remove, replace, adjust, and test electronic, mechanical, computer and control parts of welders and return back the welders to customers after repair.
Work with a computer to diagnose and troubleshoot
Organize and analyze service data and suggest improvements to Production and Engineering Team.
Perform all physical duties of a skilled labor associate (i. e. heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, twisting, and reaching)
Responsible for the completion and submission of field service reports and weekly expense reports on timely manner.
Effectively communicating with customers and reporting customer dynamics to corporate.
Travel requirement: 50%.
Provide on-call support by phone and email as needed to customers
2-5 years’ experience in the repairing portable welders such as Miller/ ESOB / Lincoln Electric multi process welders.
Experience in welding is plus.
Excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills with high and low voltage equipment.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently in a professional environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to lift, pull or push objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
