What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at IPH?
Job Overview:
An integrative health care clinic that serves the Pike Creek area and the surrounding communities has an immediate opening for a full time medical assistant. The candidate will work directly with our healthcare providers to deliver high quality patient care.
Duties:
- Greet and room patients. Collect vitals, and accurately document the data in EMR system
- Assist physicians
- Periodic medical supplies inventory check
- Directing physical rehab
- Phlebotomy and injections
- Administrative duties which includes, but are not limited to faxing, scanning, and completion of patient forms
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant graduate
-Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Experience in urgent care or similar fast-paced medical environments
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices
- Ability to perform clinical tasks including taking patient histories and assisting with examinations
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and administering injections

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
