The Accounts Payable Associate, under the direction of the AP Manager, will be responsible for processing accounts payable invoices for IPR’s business units and will also provide accounting support as required with finance related projects.
Responsibilities
- Enter and code invoices into Accounting system on a daily basis
- Reviews all AP invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Analyze and resolve outstanding AP vendor invoices/statements
- Runs AP aging report each week, create weekly check run batches and select invoices to be paid
- Maintain good relations with vendors and respond to all inquiries
- Provide assistance to the Operations Manager or Project Managers as requested
- Maintain accounts payable related files such as invoices, new vendor forms, W9s, lien waivers, subcontractor agreements, certificate of insurance, etc.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail as needed
- Maintain the contract database, scanning and organizing the electronic files for contracts, pay applications, and other job-related documentation
- Responsible for month end checklist and following the guidelines and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma (required). Bachelors in Accounting, preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years Accounts Payable experience (required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills
- Construction Industry experience preferred

- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are a must
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to change, take initiative, and attempt tasks independently.
