Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity to join the IQ EQ U.S. Finance Team as a leader to drive revenue capture. This is a newly created role to improve end to end processes around time entry, billing, and revenue recognition. Key objectives of the role is to ensure that there is no revenue leakage and that revenue is recorded accurately and completely.
The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach to ensure that controls around revenue recognition are effective as well as supporting revenue related data analysis. Some key responsibilities are leveraging existing data and reporting to manage monthly revenue forecasting and reporting. Implement the revenue recognition control process, support month end close process for revenue reconciliations and analysis.
Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities:
- Forecast monthly revenue.
- Conduct month-end closing procedures related to revenue recognition including deferred revenue and accruals.
- Reconcile and track inter-jurisdictional revenue transactions.
- Analyze monthly billing and conversions to confirm all revenue has been captured and recorded accurately.
- Collaborate with Sales Team on conversions.
- Identify conversion and revenue trends to assist with forecasting and budgeting.
- Partner with FP&A team to provide metrics for KPI reporting across business lines.
- Provide a detailed assessment of processes with a focus on process improvement and best practices.
- Collaborate with Group Data Analytics team to improve data consumed from current systems and implement other system configuration changes.
- Analyzing revenue trend and perform analytical reviews.
- Performs other accounting and FP&A related tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field
- 5 years of experience in accounting or finance with solid accounting knowledge and understanding of internal controls.
- Data analytics experience is a plus.
- Experience in professional services (accounting, consulting, or legal firms) is a plus.
- Superior analytical skills with the ability to meet timelines on deliverables.
- Able to manipulate large data sets to provide insightful analysis to support the business.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both for report writing and addressing stakeholder queries.
- Works well in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment.
- Effective Problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is required. Knowledge of Power BI reporting is a plus.
Additional Information
Salary based on experience and location ($90,000-$130,000) and full benefits package offered.
