Job Summary:
Leads, facilitates, analyzes and designs tasks required for the development of an enterprise technical architecture (ETA).
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes the enterprise business context (e.g., trends and business strategy), as well as change requirements in other enterprise architecture (EA) viewpoints, to derive the ETA future-state. This includes defining the requirements, principles and models that guide technology decisions for the enterprise.
- Defines high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state EA, typically in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes.
- Leads the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Also leads the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise as well as on the ETA.
- Assists with designing and managing the governance activities associated with ensuring ETA compliance.
- Oversees or consults on technology implementation and modification activities (e.g., projects) particularly for new or shared infrastructure solutions. Consults on application or infrastructure development projects to harmonize systems or infrastructure with the ETA, and identifies when it is necessary to modify the ETA to accommodate immediate or future project needs.
- Oversees and facilitates the research, evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations
- Identifies the organizational impact (e.g., skills, processes, structures, culture) and financial impact of the ETA.
- Documents necessary ETA design and analysis work, possibly including project postmortem documentation and metric collection.
- Defines metrics to measure and demonstrate ETA value.
- Understands, advocates and augments the business and IT strategies, EA development and service delivery.
- Actively prepared to “sell" the overall EA process, its outcome and ongoing results, and to lead the communication or marketing activities needed to ensure ETA success and us.
- Collaborates with business constituents, other EA team members, project teams and IT staff as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Requirements:
- 10 or more years of design and implementation experience in IT required.
- In-depth knowledge in a minimum of 2 (2) of the following technical disciplines required: network design, application development, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations.
- Experience to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments preferred.
- Demonstrated track record for remaining unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor required.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, First Degree, Trade/Vocational School certificate or Equivalent required. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or computer related discipline required.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally exert up to 10 lbs. of force to push, pull, lift or otherwise move objects. Have visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data; and/or viewing a computer terminal. Type and/or sit for extended periods of time.

Pay: $145,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
