We are excited to announce that in partnership with a top pharmaceutical manufacturer, we are currently looking for a District Sales Manager to join our team. The District Sales Manager will lead and inspire a field-based sales team that capitalizes on local market potential, customer needs, and market access dynamics, to meet & exceed business goals. This is accomplished by leveraging available market data along with promotional resources, effective coaching and mentoring of individual sales representative to align with our client expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruiting, interviewing and talent selection.
- Handle performance reviews, personnel issues, and disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for understanding and managing sales targets at the territory level and the associated incentive compensation programs
- District Managers shall make regular field visits to develop and motivate Reps for attainment of sales objectives; to assess and monitor field activity and work schedules; to monitor and manage field reporting by Reps, including call reporting.
- Significant overnight travel may be required.
- Communicate with Project Lead/NSM and client (if applicable) on a regular and timely basis
- Assist with the planning and delivery of annual business plans, training, and periodic sales meetings
- Review and approve expense reports; monitor compliance with expense policies.
- Monitor compliance with Promotional Program, and proper use of Promotional Materials and Promotional Expense Budgets
- Monitor time-keeping and attendance. Develop mastery of all CRM, BI, HR and promotional systems and be responsible for training representatives on these systems
- Consistently aligns district direction with brand strategy and can develop and execute district and account level plans.
- Conduct periodic district sales meetings that support training and pull through of national product strategy
- Develop district business plans that align with and support the national product strategy
Required Qualifications:
- 4-year degree from an accredited college or university required
- Minimum 5 years Pharmaceutical Sales experience, with a strong track record of sales success required
- Minimum 3 years Pharmaceutical Sales management experience required
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time. May involve significant driving/flying to manage the district
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of market access and ability to coach on how to utilize manufacturer tools to navigate challenges
- Demonstrated ability to coach and counsel to reinforce product knowledge & core selling message, role model best practices and uncover/communicate local market access conditions
- Ability to leverage tools and data to conduct sales analytics for the district to guide decisions and resource allocation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a district towards meeting and exceeding objectives

Salary Range: 120,000 - 130,000

The potential base pay range for this role is 130,000-150,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
