RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a subject matter expert in assigned areas of the global accounting close, standardizing, simplifying and automating to increase agility and productivity. 
• Demonstrate ownership and understanding of assigned balance sheet and P&L categories, including journal entries, reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, allocations and revaluation in a multi-currency environment. 
• Utilize automation tools to improve processes and efficiency while ensuring completeness and accuracy of global financial records. 
• Execute monthly control steps and participate in internal and external audits in order to promote Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and limit audit exposure. 
• Deliver high quality end products to business partners that enhance their reporting and analytical experience.  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple sites in both process and project settings to increase shared services' contribution to Finance and to IQVIA as a whole.

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in financial accounting, including exposure to month-end close
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or comparable field of study
• MBA and/or CPA preferred
• Technical accounting skills, including strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Demonstrated proficiency with financial ERPs; SAP and PeopleSoft preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
