What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Research Account Manager position at iResearch HR, LLC?

iResearch Atlanta is seeking a full-time Billing Coordinator to join our team. The position is located in our corporate office in Decatur, GA. 


Primary Responsibilities: 

• Provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts 

• Build study budgets and maintain financial tracking in Clinical Conductor. Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all study information. Coordinate as necessary with the clinical teams to accurately track revenues earned by procedure, visit, outsourced procedure, and reimbursable items. 

• Post all study revenues completely and accurately in QuickBooks. 

• Correspond with study sponsors as needed to collect payment for all invoices within the payment terms. 

• Monitor studies for timely payment when milestones have been reached. Identify problem accounts that are likely to become an issue of slow or non-payment and report to management.

• Manages collections of accounts Receivables.

• Record/post all payment activity in QuickBooks. 

• Perform month-end reconciliation between Clinical Conductor and QuickBooks.

• Communicate closely with the clinical team regarding increases in enrollment, screen failures, reimbursable items, etc. Negotiate detailed contract and budget amendments with study sponsors. Enter these amendments into Clinical Conductor, and build new study budgets in Clinical Conductor as required. 

• Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). 

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”) 

• Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards Contributes to team effort by Working with internal staff to resolve issues 

• Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes 

• Helping others to achieve results

• Performing other duties as assigned 

• Maintains Technical and Industry Knowledge by and participating in applicable company-sponsored training 


Ideal Candidate: 

The person best suited for this position would present with the following skills.

  • An Associate’s degree and experience in accounts receivables, bookkeeping, office setting, or similar field or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Experience with a Clinical Trial Management System, preferably Clinical Conductor. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Internet-based applications. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Well-developed critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient keyboard skills (35 wpm), and able to operate a calculator keypad by touch.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; thorough and timely in response to email and telephone inquiries.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills (positive attitude, friendly, out-going) and the ability to work well independently as well as with co-workers, peers, supervisors and external customers.
  • Maintains a strong sense of urgency and demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precision and adapt to changes in responsibilities and workloads.
  • Possesses a professional demeanor with a high degree of self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
  • Exhibits integrity and is able to maintain confidentiality with HIPAA guidelines and all sensitive company information.
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize workload on a continuous basis with frequent deadlines and competing priorities. 
  • Team player demonstrating a high level of ownership. 
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
