The Full Stack Software Engineer based in Sydney or Melbourne– building and maintaining a product that integrates with XPLAN software platforms.The candidate will have good knowledge of Java and web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You’ll be part of a collaborative, AGILE team passionate about developing high performance, scalable web applications. Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with: Investigate and assess different technologies or solutions Develop services and deploy them on cloud platforms such as AWS Liaise with Business Analysts, Product Managers to clarify requirements and implement the required functionality Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosis of issues and defects Be flexible and responsive to fulfilling other duties as required Contribute to IRESS’s continual drive for Process Improvement Build, maintain and support, with DevOps ideology What you will bring: Experience in developing and maintaining software platforms in accordance with programming standards. This includes (but is not limited to): Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript development Strong Java development skills Ability to build solid working relationships with internal staff 3 years minimum working experience as a developer using Java and web related technologies Devops experience in a cloud environment including deployment and architecture, Terraform will be an advantage Database experience and understanding of object oriented program Ability to structure test code effectively and write robust unit/integration tests, TDD will be an advantage. Experience in agile software development methodologies like scrum or kanban.
