What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at IRG?
Job Duties
- Assist with the implementation of Lease Accounting.
- Prepare the Foundation’s financial statements.
- Assist with preparation of client’s financial statements.
- Post capitalization entries for capital projects.
- Complete accounting for equipment considered to be capital, including tagging equipment, performing annual inventory, and updating assets disposed within the year.
- Compile year end reports and schedules.
- Review ledger accounts, propose and post entries as requested/needed.
- Quarterly evaluate open purchase orders for closeout and resolve receiving and/or payment holds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.
- 3 years of professional-level accounting experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application, as well as an understanding of applicable Federal and State laws.
- Must possess excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and an interpersonal service-oriented attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: Up to $20.61 per hour
