Iris Memory Care of Turtle Creek is looking for caregivers and personal care attendants like you! We have full-time and part-time shifts available.
We are a small, freestanding memory care assisted living community in downtown Dallas, near I35E and Dallas North Tollway off of Oaklawn Avenue. We have a small campus with a total of 44 residents. As a community focused on memory care, all of our residents are coping with Alzheimer's or other form of dementia. We are an age-in-place community, so you will have the privilege of caring for residents all throughout the spectrum of the disease.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for growth opportunities! We are able to train in-house and delegate for medication passing.
Rate of pay for caregivers starts at $14-$14.50 per hour, based on experience. Medication aides receive higher rates of pay. Rate of pay is negotiable based upon experience. Priority will be given to candidates who have worked with seniors before.

Specific Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing Resident services and other duties as assigned. Duties include personal services, activities of daily living, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, life enrichment, delegated tasks (if applicable to state), meal services, and other tasks as needed for Resident care and service delivery.
Primary Essential Job Duties:
- Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.
- Assists with activities of daily living/ADL’s, environmental orientation, dining services, life enrichment programs, laundry and housekeeping, meal services, and other care services assigned, while encouraging self-care and independence.
- Offers comfort and support, emotionally and physically, to Residents.
- Assists with vital signs and weight monitoring monthly or more frequently as required for all Residents and completes all required documentation.
- Puts Resident Service First: Ensures that Residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights
- Assists with individual Resident and group social recreational activities.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum one year experience in working with older adults as a personal care assistant preferred.
- Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 18 years old, or older if required per the state regulations.
- Experience with dementia residents preferred.
- Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state requirements.
- Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately.
Salary : $14 - $15
