SUMMARY:
Manage and implement the Company’s quality assurance and control systems to ensure proper execution of products and processes with a focus on customer satisfaction. Supervisor will lead facility team of quality control inspectors and quality assurance auditors to implement best practices throughout receiving production and shipping processes. Supervisors are committed to ensuring a product and process execution within their operating facility.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Hire, manage, train, and evaluate quality department personnel using performance management and corrective action tools to ensure effective productivity and customer service
- Develop solution-oriented assessment of procedures
- Develop standard operations procedures and perform assessment of procedures
- Prepare and report a variety of data using a variety of data
- Manage quality system and analyze data to ensure all import and domestic products are produced correctly and to specification
- Review audit results and create corrective/preventative action plans
- Report quality metrics to management to ensure operational standards
- Performs internal QA laboratory testing for facilities without quality lab technicians
- Coordinate timely submission of samples for internal and external laboratory tests
- Coordinates calibration of QA equipment in all facilities
- Support manufacturing by assuring material, product, and procedural compliance
- Effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders using multiple tools to ensure effective visual communication
- Perform similar level or nature of duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
o Two (2) years lead or supervisory experience; and,
o Three (3) years’ quality experience
Knowledge of:
o Supervisory principles
o Quality standards and industry best practices
o Research and application resources and techniques of product compliance
o Product specifications and terminology
Skill in:
o Using computer hardware, including keyboard, mouse, monitor, and related hardware
o Use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges
o Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
o Perform basic math, using Microsoft Excel to find sum, percentage, average, median
Ability to:
o Perform root cause analysis
o Identify and develop corrective action plans (CAP)
o Exhibit strong interpersonal/communication skills (verbal and written)
o Perform basic math (add, subtract, divide and multiply)
o Communicate relevant information with vendors, quality team and other departments
o Exhibit courteous, cooperative and respectful demeanor towards all company personnel in words and actions.
o Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
o Build teamwork and resolve conflicts
