IronRoad is conducting a search for our Columbus, Ohio client, Revive Environmental Technology for a talented and motivated Buying and Planning Manager. The Buying and Planning Manager directly supports the Site Manager for the Michigan and Columbus Revive facilities by developing and managing the inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels. This role evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures. Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages. Assists in a buying function for the site as needed.
This position works with urgency and transparency in responding to the needs of customers and internal teams to execute the work of waste disposal as a service. Strong alignment with Operations and Sales teams is required, as well as coordinating with finance and customer reporting.
This position reports to the Director, Operations and Technology.

Essential Duties
- Planning: Forecast the company's needs based on sales trends, inventory levels, and production schedules. Plan for the efficient use of materials or products to minimize waste and cost. This includes executing and managing waste characterization waste generating source.
- Logistics: Coordinate the transportation, storage, and delivery of goods. Ensures the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. May be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing, and monitoring the flow of goods.
- Purchasing: Negotiate with suppliers to obtain products or materials at the best possible prices, evaluate supplier performance, and develop relationships with reliable vendors.
- Lead State takeback programs for AFFF: Be the primary Revive employee to manage in person all state take back field collection events. This includes planning, labeling, and inventorying all customers provided materials for disposal, and using and evolving Revive's inventory system to generate reports for customer provided materials.
- Operate a forklift at the Revive Columbus facility for material staging and disposal.
- Ability to lift fifty (50) lbs.
- Revive's financial and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools as needed for reports and planning.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of successful experience within a production planning/materials management position within a manufacturing operation.
- Must demonstrate a solid grasp of production planning principles, Capacity Planning, and ERP understanding.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to participate as a key team member are required. Strong computer skills are required in MS Office programs.
- Demonstrated live or translatable experience in building process systems and data management interfaces.
- Lean / Six Sigma experience a plus.
- Curious and analytical with very high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to drive on behalf of company business when required.
- Must be a U.S. Person, as defined by U.S. export control laws.
- This role is Columbus, Ohio based and an in office position.
- Travel required up to 30%, mainly being driven by customer take back events or trips to Michigan for support as needed.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
