Position Summary

This position is critical for a successful implementation of (ISC)2’s advocacy strategy and plans in the UK and EU.

 

The Advocacy Specialist will support the implementation of wide-ranging policy activities, and contribute to the evolution of (ISC)2’s advocacy programme, focused on the UK and EU. This position will provide for a steep learning curve that offers career growth and professional development opportunities.

 

This is a really exciting time to join the company and to be part of this excellent team. The role would suit candidates who have possibly worked as a Project Coordinator, Programme Coordinator , Policy Analyst or within Operations and Account Support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a variety of operational tasks to support the implementation of (ISC)2’s advocacy plans in the UK and EU, which includes coordinating with MPs, government departments, and wider industry stakeholders
  • Support vendor management, including contracting and invoicing
  • Contribute to event planning and delivery
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, Exams, and other internal teams on advocacy activities
  • Contribute to policy monitoring and research,
  • Coordinate a range of projects, for example, policy briefings, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement
  • Prepare stakeholder briefings for senior leadership
  • Support the development of conference presentations
  • Input into the development of advocacy collateral and support on content creation
  • Coordinate a wide range of projects to roll out advocacy plans
  • Support with/manage administration, for example, meetings preparation, organising advocacy folders
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Exceptional communication – verbal and written
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Experience of coordinating projects
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity or information technology is desirable, but not essential
  • Experience working with member associations or nonprofits a plus
