Position Summary
Provides technical consulting and project management support for environmental, health, and safety compliance projects, specializing in industrial hygiene.
Position Responsibilities
Assist with industrial hygiene projects including personnel exposure monitoring, noise surveys, policy/procedure reviews, audits, inspections, training, mold sampling, asbestos and lead surveys, etc.
Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations
Conduct personnel exposure monitoring to chemicals, noise, etc. as required
Conduct training for a variety of industrial hygiene topics including respiratory protection and fit-testing, hearing conservation, etc.
Conduct compliance audits and facility inspections
Conduct mold, asbestos and lead surveys
Prepare written compliance related reports and documents such as personnel exposure monitoring reports; policies, procedures and program documents; survey reports, etc.
Provide technical review for other Industrial Hygiene reports
Maintain, calibrate and operate sampling equipment
Assist with internal industrial hygiene compliance and training
Develop knowledge of client facilities and operations
Provide customer services to a variety of client representatives and local, state and federal agencies
Participate on the emergency response team
Participate in preparing proposals
Contact and contract with various subcontractors
Assist with other environmental, health and safety projects
Develop and maintain knowledge of other environmental, health and safety regulations
Operate motor vehicles safely and in accordance with applicable regulations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field AND 2 years experience in the environmental, health and safety field
or 5 years experience in the environmental, health and safety field
Organizational Skills
Excellent organization, problem-solving and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Interpersonal Skills
Computer SkillsStrong computer skills, particularly utilizing Microsoft Office applications
DrivingValid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Communication SkillsExcellent verbal and written communications skills
