Spanish Teacher for After-School program

JOB OPENING:

ISL is seeking a passionate and experienced Spanish teacher to join our after-school program starting in the September 2023.

As a Spanish teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and interactive learning environment where students can develop their Spanish language skills.

Responsibilities:

• Getting to the school on time.
• Plan and deliver dynamic Spanish lessons that align with the program's curriculum and objectives
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with the program's goals and objectives.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes language learning and cultural understanding.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to actively participate in the learning process.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, student performance, and other relevant data.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be legal to work in the United States
• Responsible, efficient and reliable
• Have your own transportation to drive to the schools provided (around the area).
• Be flexible and able to teach every weekday during the hours provided for the full session (typically 8 weeks)
• Use the materials provided by us to teach as well as provide your own materials when needed.
• Make sure classes are fun and students are learning.
• Patience and experience with children.
• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
• Can communicate in English
• Previous experience teaching Spanish to students of various ages and proficiency levels.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish language, grammar, and culture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching is a MUST.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with current educational technology and resources

• Open-minded and enthusiastic
