What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Intern position at Island Insurance?
DescriptionDuring the 8-week summer program, students will gain hands-on experience and work alongside business professionals across our family of companies. Interns selected to participate in the program will go through an introduction to all companies then be placed in a company-specific focus area for on-the-job training. The program culminates with a project presentation addressing real world opportunities for the organization and focus area.Interns selected to participate in the program are required to work on-site in our offices located in downtown Honolulu. The dates of the 8-week program are from 6/19 to 8/11, and the work hours will be 9am to 4pm (Monday through Friday).This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work alongside professionals within our local family of companies engaged in insurance products and services. Interns work in parallel to completing their college education/degree programs. Interns are expected to treat this opportunity as a job and demonstrate commitment to the agreed upon work schedule. Qualified Interns will be subject to the company’s policies and conditions of employment as all other employees.Qualifications:Students in their junior or senior year of college preferred.
