We are looking for merchandisers to work in retail garden centers- Must be positive and upbeat and have the:
* Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 40 pounds
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
* Ability to kneel, crouch, bend and reach overhead

Position starts immediately- Part-time- flexible days and hours

As an independent contractor, you will work independently, as well as communicate with and work well with store employees, growers, greenhouses, and other co-workers. Other responsibilities include making signs, creating displays, and keeping a clean working area. There may be occasions where unloading freight from packaging, racking, and/or pallets is also needed to present the customer with the best products through visual merchandising.
Qualifications & Expectations:
* Train and assist garden center personnel in the merchandising of live goods, assist stores with understanding and following their garden center layouts, best watering and merchandising practices, as well as assist with inventory control, product cycle counts and inventory corrections
* Plan & execute initial sets. Fill, consolidate and organize vendor product on retail displays or carts
* Display All seasonal live good items in a large retail garden center
* Assists in execution of corporate directives and programs: including execution of CVP, ASN & Home Office Markdowns
* Maintain a professional, cordial and customer-friendly attitude at all times
* Computer proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and excellent daily communication skills
* Documentation of daily activities, photos, and reporting of findings in the Tap App
* Good organizational skills and ability to follow a planogram
* Positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and good time management skills necessary
* Able to work both independently and with others
* General care of plant material (signing, pruning, and watering)
* Maintaining a clean store appearance
Essential Activities:
* Multiple weekly store visits and product merchandising throughout assigned area
* Assist stores with understanding and following their Garden Center layouts, best watering and merchandising practices, and help set up live goods displays
* Communicate product flow, over-stock/under-stock opportunities
* Upload photos to TAP APP
Physical Demands and Work Environment

* Able to travel between stores in some areas, if necessary
* Must be able to have reliable transportation to assigned store locations, when applicable
* Must be able to push/pull heavy vendor carts and lift and arrange product on carts and displays
* Must be able to lift, move, and carry pots and/or trays of flowers and hanging baskets weighing up to 40 lbs. occasionally and plants consistently throughout the day
* Must be able to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, hot, cold)
* Must be able to walk and stand for a majority of your shift and be able to submit reports, invoices, and upload photos
* Need to have reliable transportation, a smart phone, and a valid email address.
