Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapist simulates and delivers radiation oncology treatments per prescribed plans. Responsible for patient safety, documenting reactions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and accurate radiotherapy treatment to patients.
- Operate and maintain radiotherapy equipment.
- Maintain accurate treatment records.
- Discuss treatment plans with patients in collaboration with clinical oncologists.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
- Clean and maintain patient treatment areas.
- Maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Radiation oncology certificate and associate degree in radiation therapy technology.
- Certified ARRT in radiation therapy (RT(T)).
- California Licensed.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
