Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is to improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring a Ply Up Lead for the CPP department at our Ridgeway, SC location.
Schedule:1:00p-9:3p M-F (Overtime, extended shifts, and weekend work required)
Compensation: $23.50 per $1.25 shift differential
The Role:
The Ply Up Lead is responsible for ensuring material is available at all times for the build-up line including the correct computer documentation to record batch numbers and scrap for the process step. This role also assists Ply-up Operators with the efficient and timely preparation of sheeted b-stage in preparation for the buildup process.
Top Responsibilities
- Locate, review, and understand the press plan.
- Certified on all positions within the department
- Place rolls in and out of inventory and tracking system accurately.
- Report and resolve discrepancies as they are found.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories as requested by the supervisor, management, or vendors while maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Read and verify press plan is complete and clear.
- The timely, efficient, and accurate assembly of sheeted b-stage as described in the ISO procedures.
- The inspection, identification, and removal when necessary of quality problems on the b-stage, which would cause the finished laminate to be defective.
- Proper setup and operation of ply-up and support equipment; informing supervisors of problems.
- Log b-stage usage and scrap on batch sheets.
- The accurate placement of labels for proper laminate separation.
- Maintain complete and accurate records for material usage and product traceability in computer systems.
- Work in conjunction with and assist other Ply-Up Operators in decision-making processes.
- Participate in and plan weekly preventive maintenance.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate basic functions on a PC.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous machine operating experience.
- Ability to pass a physical capabilities assessment.
