Accounts Receivable Manager
This position is a new role that will lead the build-out of a consolidated Accounts Receivable team for the Company's core lines of business. We are seeking an experienced Manager focused on evaluating and developing key processes that improve efficiencies, strengthen internal controls, and enhance collection efforts.
Principal Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the AR department including the handling of cash receipts, posting to customer accounts, and the processing of adjustments to customer accounts
- Oversee the training and development of direct reports, communicate goals, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback
- Work cross-functionally to identify system/procedural issues and provide recommendations; consider IT/automation solutions that improve efficiencies and internal controls
- Work with leadership to develop a collections policy; oversee the execution of procedures to enhance timely collection of payments
- Review and process write-offs as part of a routine review of bad debt
- Manage information requests for financial and regulatory audits/inquiries as needed
- Provide superior customer service internally and externally, ensuring timely response to inquiries
- Keep abreast of current trends and practices; identify and drive best practices
- Manage special projects and tasks as directed
Essential Requirements
- Associates degree in Accounting/Finance; 7 years relevant work experience with leadership tenure
- Advanced MS Excel skills (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.); strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- ERP system experience, NetSuite preferred
- SaaS industry experience preferred
- Experience leading an Accounts Receivable team with a proven track record for process improvements
- Strong analytical/quantitative skills with an ability to develop action plans and drive results
- Adaptive and flexible to shifting priorities and responsibilities with a high growth, fast-paced organization
- Desire to problem solve and provide support to both internal and external customers
- Strong managerial and organizational skills; accurate and detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
