Summary/objective

The Data Architect is responsible for designing and executing a database architecture for multiple enterprise systems. The Data Architect achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases. This role also will collaborate with business users and technical engineers, assist developers with information architecture, performance tuning and information storage design and development.


Core Job Duties

    • Achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases.
  • Trouble shoots and finds solutions for computer system issues that affect data storage as they arise.
  • Achieves information architecture operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing, and completing action plans, implementing quality standards, resolving problems, identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing change.
  • Studies organizational mission, goals, and business drivers, and confers with management to understand information requirements.
  • Defines infrastructure for design and integration of internet computing systems by analyzing information requirements, studying business operations and user-interface requirements, and directing development of physical database.
  • Determines platform architecture, technology, and tools.
  • Confirms architecture capability and flexibility to support high availability web applications by developing analytical models and completing validation tests.
  • Improves architecture by tracking emerging technologies and evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.
  • Communicates technology needs and strategy to fellow team members.
  • Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
  • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.
  • Recommends solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
  • Offers support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field.
  • Expertise in Microsoft tech stack (such as Azure data blobs, etc.).
  • Solid Understanding of API and middleware-based integrations.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in similar role with ERP, CRM and proprietary systems.
  • Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Experience working with private and sensitive personal information.
  • Confident in decision making and ability to explain processes or choices.
  • Outstanding problem solver.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies.
  • Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
