This full stack developer position is a great opportunity to build both hard and soft skills, and tackle meaningful challenges in the energy sector. This person is to provide both application support and new development for in-house applications becoming a product and serve as a subject matter expert (SME). This position gives the opportunity to work in all phases of the SDLC and providing technical expertise in designing, implementing, and servicing business applications for Energy Transfer’s Operations. We encourage being the champion for improvements and ideas, as well as being team and project leaders for undertaking application implementations and upgrades. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze/design/code/test/implement applications according to company/industry best practices and standards
  • May lead and direct the work of others
  • Work closely with business customers
  • Full life cycle development including new development, maintenance, and design
  • Develop and maintain documentation according to team standards
  • Develop options and propose recommendations to customers
  • Develop/validate/maintain business recovery procedures and application troubleshooting practices

Requirements:  Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or additional equivalent experience 
  • Highly motivated, assertive self-starter that is goal-driven and detail-oriented
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • 5 years of experience in C#.NET
  • 5  years’ experience with ASP/ASP.NET, HTML and JavaScript
  • Experience developing ASP.NET MVC web applications
  • Experience with Restful web Services and oData
  • Experience with UI tools such as Telerik Kendo UI a plus
  • Working knowledge of XML, XSLT and related technologies
  • Experience with EntityFramework 6 a plus
  • Experience with Code First methodology a plus
  • Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops
  • Experience with multi-tier applications/architecture
  • Experience designing and implementing SQL Server 2014 and 2016 databases. Good SQL skills including stored procedures and triggers
  • Documentation experience including technical and techno functional documentation
  • Ability to adhere to best practices and programming standards
  • Microsoft Certifications such as: MCSD, etc. a plus
  • Team-oriented and dependable with well-developed interpersonal skills and work habits

 

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8 years of relevant job related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prefer refined products and butane blending industry knowledge and experience, especially with Document Management and Operations applications

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
