Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for overseeing the achievement of project deliverables directly connected to company goals by launching innovative products and disrupting the marketplace.
  • Manage roadmap of projects working within the framework of the overall Operations team; set goals, track deliverables, identify risks and opportunities, and drive mitigation efforts across all stages of each project.
  • Fundamentally understands and scrutinizes technical stakeholders' requirements and translates them into project scope with a clear execution plan and responsibilities.
  • Develop manufacturing project plans, including the definition of scope, time, resources, budget requirements, and KPIs.
  • Own standardization and quality improvement programs from “concept to completion” in dynamic manufacturing environments.
  • Engage regularly with manufacturing team to understand requirements and adjust project strategy.
  • Investigate and document complex business processes based on project/program needs.
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across projects.
  • Create and manage detailed Gantt charts while continuously monitoring and reporting on project status with various cross-functional groups.
  • Maintain close communication with the project team, track resources, identify deficiencies, and concisely escalate any arising risks within the project plan.
  • Align with other PMs to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department. Contribute contingency plans regarding project risks.
  • Thrives under pressure and in ambiguous environments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong project management and presentation/written/oral communication skills.
  • Problem-solving & analytical skills to effectively facilitate critical cross-functional meetings with manufacturing leaders and become a peer in discussions when necessary.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse cross-functional project teams by motivating and nurturing a mindset of accountability & support to succeed as one team.
  • Resilience under high pressure and changing conditions to successfully deliver projects on time and on budget, while generating superior results.
  • Possess knowledge of project management best practices, including PMI and agile methodologies.
  • Bring a passion for and commitment to meticulous documentation and communication.
  • Must possess a bias for action, with the ability to remain engaged, proactive, and positive in challenging circumstances, owning assignments, and taking full accountability for overall team success.
  • Strong interest in working at the intersection of product quality, manufacturing, and engineering.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • 5-7 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Related STEM degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Experience in the Automotive or Heavy-Duty truck industry, working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated application of project and program management fundamentals to solve complex engineering and operational problems.
  • Familiarity with complex manufacturing execution systems and/or experience managing software projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Project management: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Automotive industry: 5 years (Preferred)
