ITC Personal In-Home Care is looking for a Building Maintenance/Janitor Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of the premises. You will perform basic maintenance tasks that vary between company vans, building repairs, and groundskeeping. The ideal candidate will be dependable, able to work independently, and responsibly while observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. Strong working knowledge in a health care setting is highly desirable.
Qualifications & Skills
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to ensure our company vans operate correctly, major vehicle maintenance will be done at a licensed shop
- Basic plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems
- Basic carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
- Basic cleaning knowledge
- Groundskeeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or clients of the building in a pleasant manner
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
- You would need to receive all certifications that a caregiver needs in the chance you encounter a client with behaviors

Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped
- Routine cleaning and restocking of bathrooms
Work Environment
This is a day program facility that operates from 8am to 7pm at which children and adults with developmental disabilities receive multiple services. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. Work is needed both outdoors and indoor. This is a fast-paced environment with extreme temperatures in the summer. Involves walking and standing for extended periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
