Position Description:


We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager for Learners Edge and Teaching Channel with the skills and ambition to grow with our enterprise-wide marketing organization. Learners Edge provides PK-12 teachers with online continuing education graduate-credit courses to support teachers’ salary advancement and license renewal needs. Teaching Channel provides video-based professional development tools to meet school district needs and foster teacher development. Both companies desire to help teachers grow, thrive, and remain passionate about their impactful and important career.


The businesses function as part of an enterprise structure with several additional education companies and a strong, innovative, growth-focused leadership team. As Senior Marketing Manager you will be part of a small but nimble marketing group and be responsible for defining and delivering omnichannel marketing campaigns to drive revenue goals across Learners Edge and Teaching Channel. Campaigns may include brand (awareness campaigns, creative ideas, and image-building) and growth strategy (SEO/SEM initiatives, landing page optimizations, product creation, traffic/user acquisition, email strategy development, and other growth-related initiatives). You will accomplish this by collaborating with the relevant team members, by understanding the data, and the capabilities that exist within Learners Edge. You will be expected to work side-by-side with the Senior Director of Marketing and the CMO as a leader to build a comprehensive marketing strategy for Learners Edge initiatives, overseeing them to completion. We are looking for a generator and an innovator of marketing ideas and a creator of deliverables.



Responsibilities: 


  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the company to set and execute short- and long-term marketing plans for Learners Edge and Teaching Channel.
  • Extrapolate insights from customer, competitor, and marketing performance data and turn those insights into actionable strategies that can be leveraged to create successful marketing initiatives.
  • Prioritize key initiatives for Learners Edge and Teaching Channel.
  • Maximize the impact of all marketing-related testing by developing and maintaining analytics.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions which contribute to the generation of new ideas that push the boundaries of marketing.
  • Use a data-driven approach using CRM data to ground campaigns in customer needs and purchasing behavior.
  • Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication (written and verbal) to your team and the organization on the company’s marketing strategy.
  • Bring your strengths as a marketing generalist and be a key contributor in development and execution of strategies such as direct mail, email marketing, website optimization, paid search, social media, competitive research, market research, content marketing, tradeshow management and other marketing endeavors.

 

Status: Full-Time Hybrid schedule (Remote and Onsite)


Requirements:


  • Ideally, ten years of progressive marketing responsibilities. Experience in the education sector is a plus.
  • The ability to lead, drive, and the willingness to review, with keen attention to detail, creative and analytical work.
  • Be a quick, strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills.
  • A comfort in putting forth recommendations to deliver high quality creative execution for any given marketing initiative.
  • Experience at rapidly growing businesses is preferred.
  • An ability to lead and support cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional project management skills and an ability to keep a multitude of projects moving forward with appropriate prioritization.
  • A strong willingness to engage with and involve other teammates to make the best possible final product.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including internal communication and customer-facing deliverables.
  • The desire to jump in and work in the day-to-day while helping elevate teammates through training and support.
  • Be familiar with HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and a willingness to explore and learn additional marketing tools.
  • Learners Edge headquarters is located in Eagan, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and be willing to work in the office 2-3 days a week. Remote candidates with exceptionally strong skills will be considered.
