SUMMARY
The Valet Supervisor is a primary contact for any transportation, vehicle retrieval, and luggage needs of our guests and is responsible for providing all guests with friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable interaction and the timely and efficient delivery of exceptional services. Special emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, flexibility with work assignments, efficiency, quality, social demeanor, appearance and leadership that contributes to a hospitable environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: VALET / GUEST RELATIONS
1. Thorough knowledge of the Valet Department and Valet / Van Driver / Luggage Assistant job duties
2. Additional duties will include but not limited to: Scheduling Valet Department Staff according to operational and fiscal demands of the hotel, Training new staff and maintaining the values set by management of existing staff
3. Review group demands and follow up with Valet/FO associates
4. Ensure effective departmental communication and information systems through logs, department meetings, and hotel meetings
5. Ensure Valet Staff assists in stocking the Lobby Market, maintaining guest ready appearance of the lobby area and assist guests as needed
6. Maintain and order any operational supplies required by the Valet Department
7. Assist FOM with departmental meetings
8. Assist FOM with all disciplinary actions
9. Provide pleasant and professional services to all guests
10. Perform all the duties of the Valet / Van Driver / Luggage Assistant Role and perform a variety of other tasks conducive to the operation of the hotel and in providing all guests with exceptional hotel services
11. Be knowledgeable of the hours of operation of all hotel services and aggressively sell such services
12. Schedule shuttle runs and maintain a complete and efficient shuttle log and tracking system
13. Assist in checking all areas of the Valet Department, including condition of the shuttle van. Report deficiencies.
14. Be knowledgeable of all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures and equipment as related to department responsibilities and perform or dispatch any necessary functions.
15. Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim of achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence.
16. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the front office, lobby, and surrounding areas. Properly maintain all work equipment, tools, and supplies.
17. Respond to guest requests and inquiries with appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy while upholding business goals.
18. Responsible for knowing and complying with all items on the position’s training checklist.
Comply with all department, hotel, and company policies and procedures.
WORK CONDITIONS
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in providing guest assistance. Outdoor conditions subject to weather. Lobby marble floor presents slippery conditions, especially when wet. Frequent interaction with guests of various needs, personalities, temperaments, and patience levels. Pace of business varies.
QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English is required.
· Must be able to provide, receive, and comprehend verbal and written instructions and information.
· Desired are individuals who are friendly, reliable, enthusiastic, articulate, outgoing, obliging, and compassionate.
· Must present an appropriate public presence in grooming, dress, poise, and social etiquette.
· Must be able to work independently or with others.

· Must be able to process information through computer systems.
· Must be able to move or handle items (such as guest luggage, packages, etc) generally weighing 0-50lbs.
