Title: Material Buyer
Location: Onsite 5 days/week in Plymouth, MN
Salary: $60-65K plus bonus
Overview:
This person will oversee researching and identifying best products and suppliers, materials procurement, and price negotiation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and maintain=knowledge of the lighting, lighting/building controls and EV charging markets, relevant practices, and industry trends to enhance supplier negotiation strategies.
- Conduct research to identify the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
- Communicate between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.
Education:
- Four-year degree required in Business or related degree.
Experience Preferred/Other Qualifications:
- Experience in the lighting industry.
- Development of vendor performance programs.
- Material procurement and negotiations.
- Vendor management (lighting installs, industrial, commercial, retail, others) sourcing and negotiating.
- CALT (Certified Apprentice Lighting Technician)
