IT Analyst (Oracle)
Description: This position is responsible for configuring, administrating, and maintaining Oracle s Supply Chain Management (SCM) applications (project mgmt., maintenance, inventory, procurement, costing, etc.), essentially becoming our Oracle Cloud Applications subject matter expert. The position also oversees our IT support group and maintains the department s IT security plans.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, modify, deploy, implement, design, test, and manage Oracle Cloud Applications to support the department s mission to the University.
- Implement projects and software (i.e., mobile apps and Web apps) in Visual Builder to add or extend functionality to existing Cloud applications or user-interfaces.
- Independently analyze and solve issues with the system; design & develop test plans, maintaining quality assurance across instances.
- Based on departmental or university needs, determine if technical solutions should be purchased or created in house (i.e., custom reports, dashboards, KPIs, etc.).
- Work with campus project partners to help define needs, often across multiple functional areas, when necessary to integrate or exchange data through Oracle s REST API.
- Research emerging technologies and/or threats and provide training and support to end-users, developing appropriate documentation and training aides consistent with broadly defined policies, procedures, practices, and professional standards.
- Interact with external vendors and contractors for technical solutions.
- Supervise IT staff, effectively managing the IT support unit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer programming, business analysis or relevant field.
- Three-years experience managing an enterprise computer system; and/or, certification in system analysis & design; and/or, specialized training in process analysis, data analysis, or business analytics.
Preferred Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and formulate solutions.
- Social skills to interact with customers, end-users, and other inter-departmental teams.
- Java/Javascript, XML, SQL, CSS and HTML5 programming experience, Oracle PL/SQL and REST API knowledge.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage others and build the expertise of the group.
- Scrum/Agile/Lean Six Sigma certification or experience
- Experience with Microsoft BI, Microsoft Teams, Visio, Excel, SAS, JMP, Hadoop.
