Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:Operates equipment to inspect and apply release paper to adhesive coated materials per customer specifications.

 

 

$16.43- $21.24 an hour

Essential Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates equipment to rewind coils of material for inspection.
  • Cuts core to length according to Job Sheet/Standard Manufacturing Procedure (SMP) specifications.
  • Inspects rubber and/or adhesive coated material for defects.
  • Applies release paper to adhesive material per Job Sheet/SMP specifications.
  • Prints individual coil and master labels from Plexus.
  • Applies labels to identify coils.
  • Marks minor defects on material with silver marker.
  • Documents major defects on log sheets.
  • Completes all required paperwork for documentation purposes.
  • Documents weight and length of finished coil in Plexus.
  • Operates hoist to place material onto uncoiler.
  • Bands, ties, tapes, and otherwise fastens material.
  • Loads material on skids using power hoist.
  • Operates forklift to transport skids of material to assigned storage locations as needed.
  • Places scrap into large hoppers.
  • Performs routine/general maintenance on rewinder.
  • Notifies supervisor of safety or quality concerns.
  • Cleans tools, equipment, machines, and work area. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Position Requirements

    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Knowledge of basic computer and keyboard use. Forklift license required. Ability to operate weighing scales. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Ability to work any continuous or fixed shift schedule including any day of the calendar week as required for operation of the position and mandatory overtime as implemented by management. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.KEY BEHAVIORAL TRAITS FOR SUCCESS:

    Equal Pay Act Range

    Hourly Range $16.43 to $21.24 plus benefits and incentive plans.
