This position will be based out of our headquarters facility in Hatfield, PA (Suburban Philadelphia). In addition to our Pennsylvania operations, Brooks maintains manufacturing locations in, Hungary, and Korea. The Company also maintains sales offices throughout the world. Our products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: life sciences, chemicals, semiconductor, analytical instruments, nuclear, and solar cells.
Job Description
Basic Function
Participate as a business analyst/software developer to evaluate, propose, and develop solutions to business issues with sales portal, ERP, and related applications. Document proposals, requirements, and solutions to business problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate information and data to determine the root cause of issues.
- Work with employees to gather business requirements and translate them to technical specifications. Must be able to communicate to non-technical audiences and facilitate meetings.
- Analyze data in SQL databases (MS SQL Server) using SQL query tools (Management Studio).
- Build solutions with low code/no code platforms like Azure Logic Apps, Office 365 Power Apps, Power Automate, and Salesforce.
- Develop software and integrations using C#.Net, JavaScript, Rest APIs, SQL, IIS, and PowerShell.
- Be aware of security best practices and make use of Active Directory in applications.
- Provide level 2/3 support for escalated incidents. Familiarity with ITSM and ITIL concepts preferred.
- Assess current state of Information Technology software (architecture, ease of use, compatibility with new operating systems, functionality, etc.) and identify opportunities for upgrades and simplification.
- Make recommendations regarding the use of 3rd party contractors for projects or sub-projects. Manage projects and deliverables with 3rd party contractors as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering required.
- 3 - 5 plus years of experience required.
- Related experience in the following areas is desired: product configuration applications (CPQ), customer relationship management (CRM), and systems integrations.
- Understanding of the following methods: process mapping, process variation, project management.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.
