Job Description
Located in Carol Stream, IL, the Global Director of Sales, Service and Marketing is responsible for the revenue, talent, customer relationships, and overall effectiveness of the IDS global sales and service organization. The Global Director of Sales, Service and Marketing will lead cross -regional sales teams in both the US and EU to penetrate Strategic Accounts and aggressively expand relationships to deliver organic growth. The role will collaborate with the leadership team to establish annual and long-range strategies.
Qualifications
Planning and Execution – Set and achieve sales goals for the Division for Annual plan and Long-Range Plan. Evaluate and recommend changes in compensation, structure, metrics, or other areas to maximize sales productivity in key markets, geography and across products. Establish and commit to course of action to accomplish a goal or vision after taking into consideration resources, constraints, and organizational values. Lead sales pipeline, forecasting, planning, and budgeting approaches used by the sales organization. Ensure planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning process within the division.
Quality and Depth of Talent – Identify, hire, retain and develop key talent. Lead a change management process to build organizational capability to sell solutions using a consultative approach. Utilize all aspects of talent and performance management to create an organizational structure with accountability and ensure a high functioning sales force. This may include onboarding of talent, communicating effectively to foster a culture of engagement, cascading vision, creating goal alignment, and coaching through feedback, development planning and performance management.
Business Acumen – Understand and utilize economic, financial and industry data to accurately diagnose business strengths and weaknesses, identifying key issues and developing strategies and plans.
Driving Execution and Sales Growth – Breaking down strategies or business initiatives into key deliverables and accountabilities to support Industrial Decorating Solution’s Front-To-Back 80/20 strategy, increase sales in strategic markets and determine sales strategies in non-strategic markets. Lead sales team to grow strategic markets above market rates globally. Aligning communication, people, culture, processes, resources, and systems to ensure effective implementation and delivery of required results. Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management.
Communicating with Impact – Expressing thoughts, feelings, and ideas in a clear, succinct, and compelling manner in both individual and group situations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to establish sales budgets & forecasts.
2. Be an inspirational leader, engaging and empowering the sales teams and providing support, guidance, and mentorship.
3. Create strategies for achieving and exceeding sales targets across all outlets and categories.
4. Establish and optimize systems and processes for pipeline management and leverage them to drive efficiency and build capacity within the sales team.
5. Implement a sales governance framework and internal controls to ensure pricing and margin targets are achieved.
6. Identify, develop, and close strategic partnership and enterprise sales.
7. Monitor marketing channels to ensure they support objectives set out across key markets.
8. Monitor and analyze the competition to identify selling strategies and emerging trends.
9. Identify market categories and strategy for approaching new business opportunities and build a strong network of contacts to generate new business leads
10. Conduct regular revenue management meetings with key stakeholders to track revenue & price action targets to ensure alignment and focus of resources to deliver to targets
11. Take the lead on new business and active briefs to support building compelling brand marketing packages, business models, proposals, presentations for optimal conversion.
