Job Description
This first shift Quality Tester position starts at $19.01 an hour and is responsible for performing a range of testing procedures on commercial food equipment to ensure finished products meet exacting operating performance. Testing procedures conducted on Cooking products include steamers, braising pans and kettles. This position may require daily and/or weekend overtime to meet customer expectations.
Reading and understanding blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and instructions to perform testing procedures in proper order and sequence
Testing includes electrical, mechanical, gas and/or steam
Utilize measuring devices such as hi-pot tester, continuity tester, and power analyzers
Support the Quality Management System
Complete and maintain records of test results and data collection
Diagnose, troubleshoot and check mechanisms
Make adjustments and corrections and/or repair in-progress
Conduct quality checks and in-process inspection procedures as required
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
Demonstrate ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and instructions to perform testing procedures in proper order and sequence
Previous experience in working with electricity, mechanical, steam and gas and understanding of hazards
Ability to utilize measuring devices such as hi-pot tester, continuity tester, and power analyzers
Must be able to compile and maintain records of test results
Must wear proper personal protective equipment including Arc Flash clothing as required during testing function
Work independently and be self-starter working with production team on meeting production goals
Effective interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
May be required to lift up to 35 pounds
Periods of working in hot/cold manufacturing environment
Attendance is an essential function
Previous experience in quality, final test and manufacturing environment is preferred
