What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Technician position at ITW?
Opto Diode Corporation based in Camarillo, California, has a long history of delivering industry-leading sensors, photodiodes, detectors, and LEDs. Available in standard and custom designs, Opto Diode products have supported the photonics industry for over 30 years and earned a reputation for high performance, superior quality and reliability.
A technician with technical expertise in testing of all Opto Diode finished products. Responsible for testing parts in a safe and efficient manner to achieve monthly goals and objectives for shipping revenue. Responsible to ensure all safety requirements are followed during testing procedures. Responsible for the quality of the test results. Responsible to maintain a clean work flows in the testing area including housekeeping and efficient process flow.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Use problem solving skills to trouble shoot tester issues and coordinate with Production Test Technician -Lead as required resolving issues.
- Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized and efficient test operation.
- Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality System.
- Set-up testers for required test procedures utilizing multi-meters, oscilloscopes, IV curve tracers, black body sources and Light Integrating Spheres.
- Provide feedback to Production Test Technician on opportunities for improvement.
- Must be capable of reading analog scales in a fast and efficient manner.
- All other duties as assigned
AA Degree in Electrical Science- Must have electronic test technician fundamental skills
- Understand electronic measurements operation.
- Computer skills in Excel.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Regularly sit and work at a tester for extended periods of time
- Light lifting of product as required.
- Walk within the clean room to achieve required goals.
