What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at iyaho-social-services?
Iyaho Social Services is looking for a part-time driver that is available during the week and Saturdays. We are a non profit organization that provides respite services for the disabled. Pay is subject to negotiation. Clean driving record is required, no previous DUI arrests and no traffic violations within the past 3 years. Hours are as follows: 2pm-630pm Mondays-Fridays and 9am-3pm on Saturdays.
You will be transporting autistic children to the center from school/home and then home after the program is done for the day. Typical schedule is on the road from 2pm-3pm, you will then stay at the center from 3-5pm then drop the children off at home from 5pm-6:30pm. During the week, we do pick ups and drops only for Middlesex County. This is for our afterschool program during the week.
During our Saturday Recreation Program we do pick ups and drop offs in 5 counties: Middlesex, Mercer, Somerset, Union and Monmouth. You will be on the road the majority of the time except when we reach our destination ex. the mall, restaurants, sporting events, library, parks etc.
- A valid class A driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check.
- The ability to work multiple days in a row on a regular basis.
- Punctuality, familiarity with GPS systems, and an excellent sense of direction.
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude while engaging with clients.
