What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at J and P Asset Management Inc?
Job Responsibilities:
This part time job accepts responsibility to maintain hotel rooms in a guest ready state. They work closely with the general manager and the head housekeeper to clean each room to brand standards by following the detailed checklist and inspecting every room ensuring it is guest ready.
Housekeepers perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks in the hotel, cleaning both guest rooms, public spaces, and at times performing the duties of the Hotel Custodian or night Guest Service Representative I. Their work shift varies by day and week and depending upon business needs.
Specific Duties include:
Receive a list of rooms at the start of shift to identify rooms to be cleaned during housekeeper's shift.
Maintain and orderly cart utilizing the detailed Cart Program. The cart contains clean linens, bed packs, towels, toiletry items, cleaning and disinfecting supplies, broom, dust pan and mop. Carts should be stocked and ready to go at the beginning of the housekeeper's shift.
Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, utilizing the detailed checklists so that health standards are met, and the property is clean to WoodSpring standards.
Clean doors, door frames, vents, windows, cabinets, walls, outlets, packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAK) and windows.
Clean and check on fire prevention devises (smoke alarms and sprinklers), and check for bed bugs.
Replace soiled linen and towels, disinfect bathroom surfaces, dust or wipe down all surfaces, sweep and mop all floors.
Replenish room supplies, toilet paper, soap, trash liners, etc.
Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guests, immediately report any damage to a room, as well as any contents that should not be in a room (drugs, weapons, pets, etc.) to the General Manager.
Notify General Manager of any maintenance issues.
Notify General Manager of leftover guest belongings and bag and tag the items.
Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
May work in laundry room area loading and unloading washers and dryers and folding items.
