Bench Jeweler

J.C.’s Jewelry & Repair is a family-owned and operated fine jewelry store with on-site jewelry repair, watch batteries, watch repair and custom jewelry design. We are seeking an experienced full-time bench jeweler for Florissant, MO location. We specialize in on-site repairs with same day service.

Desired Skills:

Must be comfortable working with simple to complex repairs to include working with precious metals such as gold and platinum

Must be able to set diamond and gemstone to include new head and sets, and setting stones into existing customer mountings. Setting in many styles such as micro-pave, prong, bezel, etc.

Knowledge of laser welder

Complete finish work for custom jobs

Ability to work with little direction or supervision

Ability to communicate and interact face-to-face and on the telephone with customers

Ability to provide repair estimates to sales staff

Adapt to changes and tight timelines

Ability to complete same-day repairs, sometimes within a couple of hours timeline

****Bench test will be required

Must think outside of the box in regards to repair work as we see many different styles of customer's jewelry. Pay is based on experience. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 9am-6pm, Friday 9am – 7pm and Saturday 9am – 4pm. We do have extended hours during November and December. This position is full-time and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. Benefits include health insurance, sick and vacation time and paid holidays.

We are looking for an experienced bench jeweler for this position and not an apprentice at this time.
