What are the responsibilities and job description for the Owner operator position at J & H TRUCKING INC?
About the Company
We started out providing transportation brokerage (logistics) services in 1988 and expanded to include asset-based trucking services under our J&H Trucking arm in 1996.
Since then, we’ve worked hard to earn a reputation as a reliable freight carrier delivering safe and secure shipping services from coast to coast.
Today, we proudly support a carrier fleet of 100 power units and over 160 trailers, including dry vans, refrigerated vanns and Local trucks, and we work with a vetted network of verified owner operators to deliver the outstanding service our clients expect.
About the Job
Dry Van and Reefer both pay differently. Dry van is pay by mile with all miles paid wether loaded or unloaded. Reefer is percentage based and is only paid for the loaded miles.
If you have your own reefer trailer, you will be paid 86% gross to the tuck. We do have trailers to rent and are 8.6% of the gross (78.
4% to the truck). Fuel surcharge is paid to the O / O. ELD's are provided at no cost to the O / O including install and removal.
We use Samsara and have cameras. Detention and lay-over pay details can be provided upon request.
Reefer does go other areas of the country but, at this time, we are looking specifically in the areas indicated on the map.
