  • Job Description
    • We are looking for a Master’s level chemist who is able to work within our team to help us deliver superior service to our customers. A successful candidate will be able to integrate into the team, communicate both verbally and in writing, and find ways to improve tests. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. No prior oilfield experience is necessary.
  • Typical Tasks
    • Setting up various tests (scale, corrosion, etc), analyzing data, and organizing into a report according to established methods and standards
    • Analysis of various samples on SEM-EDS, XRD, XRF, ICP-OES, FTIR, 60 mHz NMR, etc
    • Formulating materials into products and analyzing them for stability, physical properties, etc
    • Analyzing samples from the field
    • Performing various tests based on customer specifications
  • Expectations
    • Work in a safe and professional manner
    • Perform testing in a timely method and report results back
    • Work well both individually and on a team
    • Communication, both verbal and written
    • Ability to learn new things and apply them
  • Recommended skills
    • General knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry
    • Familiarity with a variety of scientific equipment
  • Good bench chemistry skills/setting up experiments
